Zachary Haines is a Connecticut based filmmaker who works in alternative and experimental cinema. His cinema is an exploration of poetic and pure cinematic expression. His films are a visual poetry to explore and understand himself and the world around him. It is much like the work of the romantic poets, as William Wordsworth put it, “all good poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings.” His work also address the free flowing emotion of human nature in comparison to the structure of modern society. Currently he is a part-time faculty member at the University of Hartford.
